Move with the Seasons
I love innovation and creativity. I ‘m learning everyday what works, what needs to change. Keep things doable. Understanding is key. Flow with the seasons. Ready for the horizon.
My Story
Welcome to my website studio! I look forward to learning more about your website project. You can find resources here for Squarespace, Notion and Canva. My first Squarespace website was circa 2017. I really enjoy helping solopreneurs, micro-businesses, artists, authors, bloggers, coaches make the most of their Squarespace websites! You can view my portfolio for website design, graphic design and writing here.
What is my training and background? I trained as an artist, athlete, writer, filmmaker before I focused on web design. I received my Master of Arts from The New School in Media Studies and my Master of Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in New York. I worked at New York University and taught courses in Film History and Essay Writing. I lived in New York City for 10 years. When I lived in NYC, my favorite place to be was the vibrant neighborhood of Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
Then in search of fresh air and enchanted by the Oregon coast, I moved west. In Portland, Oregon, I trained extensively in the eastern traditions of yoga and tai chi. I reconnected with the craft of writing on annual retreats with Portland Women Writers. I worked for Powell's Books and was a Yoga Instructor at the VA hospital. I have lots of experience supporting many non-profit organizations that care about people and progress. Some non-profit organizations I have supported are: The Rebuilding Center, Living Yoga, and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
I have instructed mindfulness training programs at clinics and for youth groups. You can find my favorite ways to stay healthy and explore movement & breath in my ebook, Lighten Up in 21 Moves (2021). I have a strong background in the Arts and extensive experience in film and radio production. During my years in film, I worked with Nantucket Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Center, Women Make Movies and Five Sisters Productions. In Radio, I was a co-host for two radio shows at KBOO Radio Portland.
These days, like most folks, I have an active home office. I am a member of several virtual communities that support designers and business owners to keep pace with these rapidly changing times. At my design studio, websites start as a small glimmering vision and we work together to bring that vision into form. I offer a smooth online process from start to launch. As an instructor, in the online classroom, I can connect with students around the world. You can learn more about online lessons here.
When I am not at my desk, most dear to me is time with friends and in my garden. I love to take walks in my beautiful neighborhood. Fitness and a plant-based lifestyle renews my joy and appreciation for nature.
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I believe that storytelling is an integral part of great design. If you are looking for guidance, support and a clear path to launch your project, get in touch and begin your website journey here.

Authenticity and Inclusion
What does it mean to be authentic? Authenticity means you share your honest opinions. You make decisions that align with your beliefs. You care about what's healthy and healing. It means you follow your heart and are guided by an inner voice. You are open-minded and generous with others.
Sustainability
Sustainability for the earth drives all good design. I am very influenced by the principles of permaculture and love to create things that will last a long time and serve a true purpose. Some of these principles are: observe and interact, be fruitful and obtain a yield, catch and store energy, self-regulation and feedback, value renewable resources, produce no waste, design from patterns, integrate rather segregate, value diversity, discover the edge and margin, respond to change.
Clarity and Focus
You are closer than you think. Prioritize and look closely at the road ahead. Finding crystal clarity calls for a little creativity. Here you can read my short essay called 7 Words to Sweep the Mind. Find out what lights you up, let go and dig in.
"She is responsible, she is thorough, she does not give up and she brings a fresh and relevant viewpoint to whatever subject she is teaching or working on."
